Fresha and Setmore are both cloud-based services for online booking and staff scheduling. They are aimed at small and medium-sized business, particularly in the service sector (beauty salons, fitness centers and clinics). Both allow to send automatic reminders to clients (via IM and SMS), integrate with online calendars (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar), accept online payments and provide mobile apps for clients and employees. Both services offer free plans to get started.

But Fresha (launched in 2015) is a British service that positions itself as a "marketplace + SaaS": businesses receive clients via Fresha's built-in network. It doesn't charge a monthly fee for basic functionality, but it does charge a commission on bookings made through its marketplace. The SaaS component includes a client database, inventory and product management tools, social media marketing tools. The service is multi-lingual and present in many markets (120+ countries).

Setmore (2011) is an American service that offers a free plan for up to four users. Paid plans allow to completely remove Setmore branding and embed a booking widget on your website. The service also supports video meetings (via Zoom and Google Meet) directly within the booking tool and integrates with payment systems such as Stripe, Square, PayPal.
